Dorette Botha (Dee)
Dee is a native English speaker from South Africa with 14 years’ experience as an ESL facilitator and corporate trainer.
Her training is characterized with discussions, discovery and energy. She likes to lead courses where to participants are active in the process. She encourages questions and fosters an environment that is comfortable for participants to practice what they learn and not to fear failure. Dee’s opinion that critical thinking skills and application of information in real world contexts are far more useful than ‘textbook’ dissemination of information. Dee designs all courses around the participant’s needs to make it as relevant to them personally as possible.
When Dee runs these courses, she follows a ‘holistic’ approach, including body language, intonation, coping mechanisms, different ways of asking questions, checking understanding and getting clarity, as well as the subject matter.

Valentina has always been fond of foreign languages and cultures. She studied music business in the UK, sold Italian ice-cream in South Africa and volunteered to save turtles in Costa Rica. She started teaching English by chance, loved it, and got her CELTA before starting a 10 years’ career in corporate training.
She has successfully trained employees in a variety of sectors including banking, pharma, F&B, telecommunications, real estate, fashion, cosmetics, and IT, gaining a thorough knowledge of business and communication procedures within organisations. Over time she has effectively helped students build up their skills and confidence when delivering presentations, participating in meeting and conference calls, or socialising when attending corporate events.
After 10 years working in fast-paced Milan, her hometown, and travelling on a regular basis, she fell in love with Bangkok and decided it was about time to face new challenges, to improve both her professional and personal experience.
Being a passionate learner of foreign languages and a curious explorer of different cultures, has made her become an empathic trainer with a strong understanding of her students’ struggles and needs, always maintaining a fun and dynamic teaching approach to encourage and motivate trainees in their learning experience
